@threethethird I do NOT think we will be seeing the Dems in power again. The veneer of democracy is most likely over in the US. If Trump declares martial law and gets away with it that becomes 100% certain.

Note that if Trump declares martial law, only two sets of votes will count: those cast by members of the US armed forces, and those cast by the Underground. No political party will be able to hold back that storm.

Even if this coup is followed by years of fighting that ends in victory for us and sweeps all of it away, I don't think either of the prewar parties would be a factor after the fires of civil war are out.

Some of the lower level Dems seem to be waking up and realizing that they need to get in the fight now. Right now there is still the chance to sabotage DOGE from the inside (thus the Federal workers campaign) and to throw so much sand in the gears that Trump can't consolidate power. That may be our last chance to have peace without kneeling to Fascism or a king.

If they listen to Hillery and Biden instead, they may quite literally reap what they have sown in Gaza. If Trump wins he won't distinguish between them and us antifa, in fact he may even target them first.
