I'm kinda out of the talk-planning loop the past few years but did people stop doing childcare at radical events as a regular thing? Spent a bunch of my 20s doing free babysitting at people's workshops and stuff and was kind of assuming it'd still be a thing when I had a kiddo of my own but it looks like it's fallen out of favour maybe? This is not a callout, just genuinely curious what changed. Is it a regional difference? Did we get sick of waiting around "in case" kids came out who never did? Did your parent friends admit to you that they're probably never gonna bother disrupting their bedtime routine to go see your friend on their "speaking tour"? Was it a COVID thing? I don't think that every event can or should be accessible to every person! I am not mad about this! If I really want it to come back as a regular thing I should probably make it happen myself!
