I reinstalled the operating system on this ThinkPad and didn't have google's AI stuff disabled so I misread the AI summary as just a an actual quote from a web page and copied and pasted code from it into my demo.

Code didn't work at all so I went back and the description claimed the API I was using didn't exist.

Followed the first link which was to the API's documentation and copied and pasted the example from that page, which worked as expected.

It felt like the automated version of landing on an old Stackoverflow explanation of something that needed to be updated. It's bananas to me that people invite these things into their text editors.
