Total side note, sorry to butt in, but fuck, I wish that were the case here. I'm in a college town and the only actual leftist organizing here is *literally* unironically Marxist-Leninist, and the majority of its membership is such as well. I'm one of the only two anarchists even here I'm pretty sure.
I totally get what @rechelon means though in a spirit sense of it - where its like despite PSL and Socialist Alternative being able to muster for canvasses (i seen them with my own two peepers I have) it never ever feels like they are more than a strictly partisan organizational unit performing politics as they imagine it should be played, and it feels simulteanously overcooked and underwhelming, almost unbelievable that this is who is on the field as The Most Serious Partisans
