Fascists always present themselves as daring, glory-seeking risk takers, but on top of everything else, they're just unbelievably boring. They refuse to acknowledge how much more interesting queer people, Black people, immigrants, women, trans people, etc. etc. have made literature, music, food, history, movies -- all that "culture" and "way of life" they're always yapping about. Their vision of the future is a world fed on white bread and Spaghetti-Os while we all watch 'Daddy Knows Best' reruns and Spielberg movies and drone on endlessly about the perfect white men who invented Freedom® in the same voice our parents used to put us to sleep every night forever.
The plan for those they don't kill, imprison, or deport always seems to be to bore them to death. Such glory!
@ThatWeltschmerz
Their fear of being different made them boring, and their regret at being boring makes them resentful, violent, and cringe
@ThatWeltschmerz Trump's efforts with the Kennedy Center conform to this hypothesis.
@ThatWeltschmerz The mediocrity of white supremacy runs on a whole bunch of cultural appropriation posing as their culture because they lack one. "They hate us cuz they ain't us" is true, they could never touch that level of genius so they steal it.
