To the person who implied this fundraiser (that I've been promoting and donated to) was a scam... smh... #Zionist hate and propaganda is still hate and propaganda. I stand by my decision to support #Palestine and starving #Gazans! (Link to fundraiser in comments)

Fundraiser: Hot meals 4 Starved #Palestinian Kids in north #Gaza
Update on 4/9/2024, by #HaniAlmadhoun, Organizer:
Salam and hello everyone!
I hope you're all doing well. Thank you for your continued support, and a warm welcome to our new donors. Pull up a chair, and let's dive into some updates.
We've been incredibly busy these past few days, as we've just opened our third Gaza soup kitchen, the second one in the North. This particular kitchen is led by my sister, Chef Faten, focusing on baked goods and Palestinian specialties like maftoul (Palestinian couscous). Today marked the third operational day, with yesterday's delivery of baked goods to Kamal Adwan Hospital, and today's baking of Eid date cookies. My mom finds this project fulfilling and takes her mind off thinking about her murdered son, daughter-in-law, and their four kids.
While the situation in Gaza remains challenging, these projects and services serve as a ray of light, providing a much-needed distraction from the surrounding difficulties. Yesterday was particularly tough, as we lost a 5-year-old girl due to lack of medical care, highlighting the dire circumstances we're facing. May her memory be eternal.
But amidst the challenges, there are signs of progress. Our soup kitchen in the south is expanding, now serving 250 families, while Chef Mahmoud's kitchen in the north reintroduced okra after six months, alongside traditional dishes like white beans and lentil soup. The Gaza Soup Kitchen in the north is now a fixture of the community as it provides the main dishes to hundreds of families who are being intentionally starved.
As Ramadan draws to a close, we're shifting our focus to Eid celebrations, aiming to give the children a break from the hardships they endure daily. With the help of friends, we've organized clothing and toy distributions, aiming to bring smiles to their faces. They have gone through a lot, and I appreciate you and I not turning our backs on them.
In other exciting news, my employer #UNRWA USA has announced the restoration of funding for operations in Gaza, a crucial move in addressing the large-scale humanitarian crisis. In Gaza. Consider supporting them as well.
In profound admiration and appreciation,
Hani
P. S. We are scheduled to report with NPR later this morning to talk about the #GazaSoupKitchen .
