"Between 2018 and March of 2023, LAPD officers were involved in a total of 4,203 pursuits. Of these pursuits, 1,032 resulted in a collision with injury or death. 496 bystanders were injured; nine bystanders died. 462 pursuit subjects were injured; five died. 60 officers were injured."
@AdrianRiskin 40% of cops self-report that they are domestic abusers. Maybe that's related.
@BetaCuck4Lyfe @AdrianRiskin thanks for emphasizing the "self-report" nature of that statistic.
Repeatedly killing random people to recover stolen property is so quintessentially *cop*
@AdrianRiskin the fact that they create and then rigidly defend these ecstatic blood rituals in every situation where they have the opportunity to create them would, by itself, be a sufficient reason to abolish policing as an institution. Of course, there are plenty of others.
