@DJDarren @labr I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention UB40 and 'Baby Come Back' - it earwormed me as soon as I heard this week's theme.

But that is not my suggestion. No.

My suggestion - in the spirit of Jurassic Park and 'no, those aren't dire wolves' is: Walk The Dinosaur by Was Not Was. Because, let's face it, despite the widespread terror and destruction in the Jurassic Park movies, we *do* want dinosaurs to come back. Don't we?

...So maybe it's one of these hip-hop tracks to which Darren was referring?

📻 Crooklyn Dodgers - Return Of The Crooklyn Dodgers
👟 Run D.M.C. - Back From Hell
🙃 Digital Underground - Return Of The Crazy One
🕋 Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth - Return Of The Mecca
🎶 Hiroshi & K.U.D.O - Return Of The Original Artform
🎤 DJ Format & Abdominal - We're Back
🐐 Rakim - Guess Who's Back
🏀 Mystikal - Bouncin' Back

I am, of course, NOTHING if not predictable. 😀

I got an instant earworm of The Millionaire Waltz by Queen when I read the word Comeback. Due to the lyrics that includes come back a lot. Including in the Bridge:

"Come back, come back to me!
Come back, come back to me!
Oh come back to me, oh my love
How I long for your love
Won't you come back to me?”

Come Back - Garageland
Viva Dead Ponies - Fatima Mansions (what could be more seasonally appropriate than a song about Jesus' post-resurrection career as a north London shopkeeper?)
Walking Back To My Heart - Nick Kelly
Cross the Tracks (We Better Go Back) - Maceo & The Macks

Overnight thoughts were of a couple of comeback albums by musicians who spent a long time having a quiet life in the countryside, thoroughly disillusioned with the music business, before eventually being persuaded to give it another go.

And in true Playlist style, they have a slightly different kind of sound to one another:

Scott Walker - Farmer in the City (from 1995's Tilt, his first release for eleven years)

Vashti Bunyan - Wayward (from 2005's Lookaftering, her first release for all of 35 years)

Also, I have a handful of much more straightforwardly literal suggestions:

Lord Kitchener - Come Back in the Morning

The Magnetic Fields - Come Back from San Francisco

Aretha Franklin - Come Back Baby (there are many, many versions of this song, but Aretha's upbeat dance-oriented take is unsurprisingly my favourite)

Elvis - That's Alright (specifically, the live version from the '68 Comeback Special, because if it's not from the Comeback Special then it doesn't fit the theme and I've just suggested a random song for no reason)

- Slight Return by the Bluetones
- Guess who’s back…Without me by Eminem.
- Get Back by The Beatles
- The Green, Green Grass of Home by Tom Jones
- Back for Good by Take That
- Homeward Bound by Simon & Garfunkel
