I can’t speak to the facts of the case because popular press reports based on a plaintiff’s PR campaign are often inaccurate, but it did remind me to give this PSA to all <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/emergencymedicine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>emergencymedicine</span></a> and <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/emergencymedicalservices" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>emergencymedicalservices</span></a> folks:</p><p>If you have any reason to suspect anaphylaxis, the treatment is epinephrine early. Don’t wait until catastrophic airway compromise or shock. Antihistamines and steroids are later therapies. Get epi on early.</p>
