webcubus<p>I got a new monochrome astro camera! This means that I use filters to capture the different colors/wavelengths of light and then combine them in post-processing. This image is a broadband image, so I use red, green, blue, and a clear filter called luminance. Dominant M81 boasts spiral arms and a bright core, while cigar-shaped M82 shows intense star formation due to their billion-year gravitational tussle. Eventually, they'll merge into one galaxy.
