Gigi 🍄‍🟫<p>Coincidentally, there&#39;s a piece in today&#39;s Toronto Star about the current woes of Indigo.</p><p>❝<br />Over the past six years, she’s watched Indigo’s stock plummet to a low of 90 cents a share from a high of $20. Gigi 🍄‍🟫<p>The main court case for the <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/IndigoKillsKids" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>IndigoKillsKids</span></a> copyright/trademark infringement is happening now.</p><p>Interestingly, they held the TRADEMARK already (at the time of the temporary injunction), but HADN&#39;T registered copyright. <br />They have registered it now. </p><p>One of their main complaints is that, in addition to using the logo, spliced with the word &quot;kills&quot; inside in a corresponding font and branding colours, the website redirects people to local book sellers which may additionally turn away potential business.</p><p>This is, at least in part, the &quot;irreparable harm&quot; in question.</p><p>Indigo&#39;s lawyers are currently discussing which case law applies and what the evidentiary threshold is for making their case.</p>
