On August 14, Philadelphia police officer Mark Dial, shot through the window of Eddie Irizarry's car after pulling him over and lied to the public about the events. The police claim that, Mr. Irizarry was out of his car and "lunging" at officers with a knife, was quickly refuted by private "Ring" camera footage.

Body camera footage was released today showing the officer exiting his car, running to the driver side of Eddie Irizarry's car with gun drawn while Eddie sat in the drivers seat. On the video, the officer can be heard yelling "I WILL F& SHOOT YOU". He immediately fired six shots into the car, killing Mr. Irizarry.

Today, the killer, officer Dial turned himself in after being charged by the Philadelphia DA with offenses including: Murder. Voluntary Manslaughter, Aggravated Assault and Official Oppression. The family has shared with the media that Eddie was schizophrenic.

NBC 10 PhiladelphiaOfficer Mark Dial charged with murder of Eddie Irizarry, bodycam video releasedBy NBC10 Staff

Got sick of amp pages and how if you're looking for information on Google you pretty much have to do "<search term> Reddit" to get results that aren't commercial or f*@ videos. Putting aside the first half a page of search results are 100% "sponsored" i.e advertising and scams.

So I switched from mobile Chrome to mobile Firefox, and my default search engine to Duck Duck Go. We'll see how that goes. I know Mozilla or whoever the f owns Firefox also doesn't want me maintaining control over my browser but for now I just want to get away from the Google crap in some small ways.

Eventually I'm gonna implement some firewall level advertisement and tracking blocking. I've been lazy about my household opsec.

Also, I wanted to read some New Yorker article from 2018 and today was the first time the internet archive failed to get me a paywall-free version. Just let me read the stupid book review, I'm not gonna pay you if you don't let me, I'll just go elsewhere.
