Like Fanon, Laou is Martiniquais-French; like Fanon, Laou is concerned with the reclamation of a Black consciousness out of the psychic ruination of colonialism.The series consists of two shorts and two features, all of which were shot in the 1980s except for the final feature, a DV experiment from 2002.
