On Sept 7, Indigenous and non-Indigenous activists blockaded a train in Saguenay, so-called Quebec, in support of Innu land defenders currently blocking mining operations on unceded Nitassinan, near the colonial borders of Quebec and Labrador.


A communique called out the Uashat mak Mani-utenam (ITUM) and Matimekush-Lac John band councils as corrupt 'organs of colonial assimilation', and called for increased solidarity actions in support of the fight being waged by the National Committee of First Peoples' Rights.
