He was on his way to drop off his partner at her work place, and ICE agents broke his car window when he tried to exercise his rights. This is a targeted attack on Farmworker leadership, the independent labor movement as a whole."

We are demanding state officials use their position to contact the Washington State Attorney General to release Lelo now. We are calling on labor unions in Oregon to answer this call for solidarity in particular, uniting workplace actions with street action."

ONGOING What can the public do? The farm worker union is asking for people to do a clal-in to the Washington State Attorney General, the Governor, and Washington Senators to intervene and free him. Time is of teh essence as deportation under the current regime for activists may include prisons in El Salvador and Guantanamo to cause a chilling effect on working class movements. What can local officials do? ASAP They can utilize their positions in power to bring awareness on social media, call the Washington State Attorney General themselves to demand Lelo's release, and to join in-person actions being organized."
