/ IDF commander kills Palestinian man forced as human shield in Gaza

An Israeli commander in killed a Palestinian man who was being used by the military as a human shield, after mistaking him for a threat. IDF stated the incident will be investigated, but more importantly, it’s an acknowledgment of the illegal practice of using Palestinian civilians to inspect buildings and tunnels, a practice that has been condemned by human rights organizations and ruled illegal by Israel's own High Court of Justice in 2005.
