This week, after 72 hours of clinging to wreckage at sea, only 7 people survived a tragic shipwreck, just 10 nautical miles from Lampedusa. Over 20 lives were lost, including 3 children. They spent 3 desperate days at sea after fleeing #Libya, a country declared unsafe by human rights groups, and a high court in Italy, for those seeking safety.

While the media fixates on an accident of a superyacht, people continue to risk their lives in search of safety on a daily basis, due to the deadly and racist policies of the #EU. These policies must end. Every life matters!
