Today Im thinking about my favorite Crimethinc article:

an important part of anarchist unlearning is going from "what should we do about..." (or worse: "what should be done about...") and thinking in terms of "what should I do about..." where the problem at hand is something concrete that personally affects you or a friend.
breaking the habit of thinking in terms of appeals to abstractions like "the community" which are tacitly appeals to authority to handle issues which are themselves hypothetical or abstracted to the scale of the tacitly invoked authority.
and instead thinking in terms of what you can personally do with your own agency and abilities
Federated software meta, get a load of this

broke: critiquing federation cause it's centralised, then embracing centralisation

Federated software meta, get a load of this
Just read this and it made me want to fall off a wall and crack my head. Talks about the "failure" or federated protocols and calls for a "democratically created centralized organization".

@loke > Back in the 80's the people who understood technology and the people who used technology was roughly the same set. This led to a misbelief that using technology made you understand it.
In the 80's there were efforts to teach people how technology worked in order to empower them to use it well. It was fairly common for someone to start using computers for a very practical end, and to then start learning how they actually worked, because the systems were set up to facilitate that.
What we have today is cynically constructed to be impenetrable. Today's computers and today's electronics are designed to keep the user out, so it's no wonder that only a tiny, extremely motivated subset understand things. That's by design, but it's not how things need to work.
As a white trans person Ive heard this from so many other white trans people. You cant use your transness as a veil for your white fragility. Its a really thin veil and its super easy to see through.

Yesterday in the town of Colina, a fascist murdered Ángela González Aros, 24, after he drove his vehicle into a group of protesters standing behind a roadblock.
