March and Rally in Montreal this Friday (February 10). Rendez-vous at 1pm at Roddick Gates of McGill (15A Sherbrooke West); we will march to the Montreal courthouse. Nicous D'Andre Spring, a 21 year-old Black man, was a brother, son, friend and mentor; he was an artist and poet; he was active in community spaces like West Haven, YMCA-NDG TeenZone, J2K, and the Rec. This past December, despite being illegally detained, Nicous was brutally attacked by prison guards at the Montreal Detention Center (Bordeaux); he died from his injuries on Christmas Eve. Attend this important demonstration -- organized by grassroots members of Montreal's Black community -- in large numbers.
