there's a lot of pressure in certain, i would like to say mostly online, queer spaces to cordon non-binary people into only having certain types of relationships to the gender binary; and it sucks deep ass, moreso because it's often nonbinary people doing it
look, whites, lights, brights and various assorted non-black people of the fediverse.
I understand you're tired of discussing anti-blackness on here.
We're tired of having to discuss it too.
The solution isn't to try and bury the discussion under the sand.
The solution is to listen, encourage others to listen and actively work on the issues.
No way out but through.
Nothing I'm saying is new or whatever but fuck come on.
nonbinary trans woman because trans is nonbinary and woman is nonbinary. basically
You know in my (many) years of being in radical/querr situations I've never once been in a place that wasn't full of transmisogyny. mostly I've seen a cycle of tokenization, triangulation and scapegoating, and obstante refusal to see a pattern, or admit that good ppl can do bad things
I remain calm and outwardly unphased by never expecting anything less, simply waiting for the inevitability, being familiar enough with the patterns to name and attempt to intervene, heal. Calm. Furious. Bored.
I’m linking Deja, a beautiful Black Trans woman’s, surgery fund—it’s her bday tomorrow!! Team Aquarius. Help make this full moon a good one for her
did you know that so-called joshua trees aren’t trees at all? they are technically very large succulents in the agave family. according to legend we have 19th century mormon settlers to thank for the name “joshua tree.” before that name rose to popularity settlers mostly called them yucca palms
native Cahuilla people have long referred to the tree-like plant as “hunuvat chiy’a” or “humwichawa” and have used its fibers for things like baskets/sandals, and flowers and seeds for eating
us pol, transphobia
how is it not permissible to kill transphobes

suicide ment, transition complications, terf nonsense
if i would've let fear of complications stop me from transitioning (and i almost did), i literally wouldn't fucking be here.
meanwhile, terfs advocate for therapy and antidepressants. ironically, therapy fucked me up and antidepressants nearly drove me to suicide (after sending me into a two year long episode, yay!)
terfs would rather see their trans children suffer and die than get the help they actually need. how is that ok?
personal transition complications, terf nonsense
i have had complications, one of which has caused a permanent disability, yet i don't regret my transition AT ALL. i would do it all again if i could. transition saved my life. i love who i've become, and that intense self-love keeps me going. the complications were 100% worth it to me.
