you don't get anything without asking, so fuck it: are you a photographer? do you have photography gear lying around that you never use? do you feel like doing your good deed for the year and giving some of that gear away to a broke bitch?

hi, i'm the aforementioned broke bitch, and i'd love to take the aforementioned photography gear off your hands! i'm really getting into photography recently, but absolutely 100% do not have money to drop on fun equipment. i took a beginning photography course at my college this semester and *loved* it, so i do know at least a bit of what i'm doing, but i can't fit any more courses into my schedule next semester. help me keep learning and growing?

p.s. yes, i know that most photographers are also broke bitches. i don't have the money to properly compensate you for any gear you might like to send my way, but i *will* pay shipping if you're far away, and if you're local to the sf bay area i will absolutely cook you a nice meal or smoke you out or give you something ceramic i've made. broke bitch solidarity lol

p.p.s. edited to add two caveats because i am not trying to be greedy. one, i am only looking for things you know you're not going to use/have no plans for/were already planning on getting rid of. two, if i end up with something i can't or won't personally use, i'll pass it on to noisebridge or another local sf org that gives people access to tools for free. relatedly, if you're not in the bay and there's a local-to-you org that could use the gear, please prioritize them before me! i already have the basics on hand for the most part, this is about upgrading and expanding my horizons.
