No factoid today. It took a while to make this piece. I am sad. I have long been a cetacean fanatic since I was young and it breaks my heart everyday that these prisons exist. I am saddened by this beautiful creature and soul being forcefully imprisoned and forced to perform. Killing her as an entertainment spectacle, to be reduced to a profitable object for people to clap at. There is no freedom under kyriarchy. I find it horrifically fitting that her nickname was “Lolita”—a name notoriously used by the book of the same namesake which illustrates an abusive p*dophile who entrapped a girl and held her captive and abused her for years. This is not the name the young girl had, but in the book represented how the abusive man stripped her of her own name and her own humanity. It is also horribly poetic in that they were both finally free from the horrors that were brought upon them in death. Rest in peace Sk’aliChelh-tenaut. Swim free .
