Yes, with Biden's inauguration we're going back to the status quo.
THE STATUS FUCKING QUO WAS THE PROBLEM THE GAVE US TRUMP!!!
We're still dropping like flies from a fucking plague, cops are still shooting people in the streets, people are still being evicted, white nationalists are still organizing openly ....
Biden being inaugurated hasn't changed a goddamn thing. Quit acting like a miracle has just occured.
It's Going Down: **Why a New ‘War on Terror’ Will Just Mean An Expanded War on Dissent**
"In the aftermath of the far-Right storming of the US capitol on January 6th, the political Center has escalated calls for expanded surveillance and policing powers to combat “domestic terrorism.” While its been years of inaction in the face of escalating far-Right violence, grow…"
So, I would like to take today to remind people on my timeline that in the US:
-Trials by jury are almost nonexistent: 99% of prosecuted cases end in an intimidation-based plea deal.
-We use the cash bail system, which means whether the innocent get locked up for months or years pretrial depends largely on economic class. It also tends to be a lot higher for minorities, especially black people. TLDR people get locked up here -even if they win-.
-Prosecutors have a lot more control over jury selection than you think, even when it comes to that. The concept of bias means you could deliberately have 12 white republicans stacked against you if the right screening questions get asked.
And that's not even getting into mandatory minimum sentences, 3-strikes laws, or, you know, how we literally have concentration camps where undocumented immigrants get sterilized. Or how no one's really tried to stop that in the past 4 years, and the incoming administration probably won't try to either.
You are living under fascism, and you've -been- living under fascism. Possibly your whole life.
This afternoon, January 15 2021, an anti-fascist comrade was visited by two FBI agents at their home in Philadelphia.
The agents said they had questions about the recent events at the Capitol. The comrade refused to answer questions & immediately got in touch with legal & anti-repression support. We don't rely on the state to address fascist threats. The FBI has roots in repressing anarchist and Black liberation movements. We do not trust that they are only investigating the events at the Capitol. We challenge their attempts at repression with our collective refusal to speak to law enforcement.
If you are contacted by the FBI or other law enforcement, contact Up Against The Law or Philly Anti-Repression.

what was the Black Liberation Army?
The #BLA was a clandestine (underground) organization, formed in response to the repressive environment within the more famous Black Panther Party. The BLA sought to advance Black liberation by engaging the united states in guerrilla warfare within its borders.
Here are two videos featuring BLA veterans:
There's also a lot of BLA material at:
As the smoke clears in DC after Trump supporters stormed the capitol building—some preliminary thoughts.
Today's events will discredit Trump supporters in the eyes of centrists, but it will also push the envelope regarding what's acceptable. This may help the far right recruit locally countrywide & could normalize similar actions in the future.
The state clampdown after this will suppress freedoms across the board, targeting all forms of dissent. In Turkey, when Erdoğan put down a right-wing coup, that paved the way for him to repress all forms of protest.
State repression of the right will follow the playbook they use against our movements—incorporating reformist elements while isolating and destroying "extreme" elements.
If the only pressure on the government is from the far right, the state will make concessions to them.
Proponents of liberation should not remain spectators, hoping the state will protect us. Let's use this to reach out to others in our communities to organize against local far-right efforts and also against forthcoming state repression and economic/ecological crisis.
