i'm definitely a contrarian among lefties when it comes to health science. contrary opinions should be given a fair hearing, not demonized. a lot of fellow leftists seem to have completely forgotten these are capitalist products, with the producers thoroughly immunized against liability. big profits, near zero risk. skepticism of pharma and some of its recent products should be the default.

@Archilochus not sure what you are talking about specifically. But yes, Big Pharma is totally corrupt, big profits, govt protection from liability. AND. At the same time, the vaccines are also thoroughly tested and extremely safe, as shown by studies by independent researchers over and over again.
What Kennedy is doing as hhs chief is going to be devastating for public health. Billions of dollars worth of federal grants from NIH & NSF slashed that had been going to independent scientists at public and private universities for research on one's health, treatments, etc. And that's just one of the numerous ways his policies could debates public health
