@0batty_bat0 I so agree with that. Unfortunately, people are brainwashed to not feel empowered, and with that helplessness, are prone to fall for charismatic leaders, or become a tyrant themselves. Ideally, we would be autonomous and cooperative -- but we have a long way to go to get there (imho).
@DoomsdaysCW just show them the leash and let them know that they can chew themselves free whenever they please

I just started Ursula Le Guin's *The Left Hand of Darkness* but I'm putting both Octavia Butler's *Parable* books on top of my "to (re)read" pile for after that.
