A Salvadoran storefront church opened up the street from my house a few weeks ago and most afternoons and evenings they sell just fantastic pan con pollo and pastelitos Savaldoreños, neither of which is very common as street food here.

A pan con pollo consisting of a split french roll with a reddish bone-in chicken leg nestled among fresh slices of tomato, cucumber, and lettuce.
Two pastelitos (which look like empanadas, but they're not called that in El Salvador) covered with curtido and salsa rojo in exactly the style of pupusas. They are on a white styrofoam plate.
